Making the Most of TAs
Making the Most of TAs is based on up to date research and sound psychological models and aims to develop practice and structures so that TAs can use their valuable skills to to maximum effect. The focus is on TAs, working in partnership with other staff, to enable children and young people to make progress, develop independence and confidence, and be included within the school community.
We will discuss your specific requirements but this can include one or more of the following:
- Face to face training or workshops to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills of TAs, and those working with or managing TAs. This can be around a specific area, for example, developing children's independence, or use of the CLICK approach with small groups.
- Support to carry out an audit or review of current practices around the deployment of TAs in order to identify existing strengths and areas for development.
- In class observation and coaching to support the implementation of strategies and approaches developed with TAs.
- Supervision or group problem solving support for TAs
- Work to develop and implement systems and strategies at an organisational level, for example, problem solving around whole school TA deployment practices.
